It’s 2024 and I’ve decided it’s time I got back into that vicious dating/LTR pool. It’s a little daunting and a bit terrifying then it was in my 20s. Thank God I can swim! The sort of man who catches my attention is both masculine and feminine, funny, smart, spontaneous and even a bit weird and mysterious, all rolled together. I'm talking about a man who isn’t afraid to show his emotions and still have compassion and empathy; a man who can communicate, both on the emotional and physical levels. Oh, you want to know more of me. I’m a published author, born in Seattle but call the Olympic Peninsula home. I’m just your average down-to-earth guy with a mind of his own who has chosen not to play games when it comes to dating. Been there, done that, and paid the check. I am who I am...nothing more, nothing less. I’m not perfect and have no desire to meet “Mr. Perfect”. No such creature exists. I also like to think I’m an open book. My interests vary and aren’t unique: reading, music, movies, and computers, to name a few. I’m easy-going, open-minded and down-to-earth. I can be both and somewhat shy with what I’m told is a hint of underlying sass. From time to time, I’ve been accused of wearing my emotions on my sleeve, and maybe I do and I won’t apologize for it. It makes me a better person. I was raised to believe everything happens for a reason and that nothing is impossible if you want it bad enough. I’m not afraid of what’s out there. I value honesty and communication, not only in myself but in others. In addition to spending time with friends and family, I like taking walks on the beach, hiking, and going on day day trips around this place I call home. Privately, I like cuddling by the fire, reading a good book while enjoying a cup of Black Chocolate tea, and writing. As I said, things happen for a reason and I’ll know when something good is happening. I don’t play games and I don’t tolerate those who do. Waste of time and energy, if you want the honest truth.
